Lovlina Borgohain is an Assamese girl from Assam home made us proud not only our state Assam but also other country India she is role model from Assam to represent in Assam in India in the world and its the field of boxing after winning the medal at the olympics 2021 . She was born in Golaghat district on 2nd October 1997. Her father Shri Token Borgohain is a small scale business in Golaghat and mother Mamoni Borgohain . She was inspired to pursue a career in kick boxing by her elder sister Locha and Lima . In fact , both of them have been national champion in the sports . Over a due course of time, she got an opportunity to switch to boxing and grabbed it with both hands . It was at boxing trial held by the sports authority of India (SAI) at her high school , Barpathar girls High school , that the growing boxer get recognised by ,by the renowned coach shri Padum Boro . As a result , she soon started training at the boxing academy from 2012 .After she progressed to International stage , she came under the aegis of India's chef women's coach sing
She was selected in the CWG 2018 was attributed to her succes at the inauguration India open an international boxing championship held in February 2018 where she won a gold medal in the welterweight category. She had also won a bronze medal at the Asian boxing championship in Vietnam in November 2017 and the bronze meadal at the president's cup held in astana in June 2017. She later won a silver medal at the Ulaanbaatar cup in Mongolia in June 2018 and a bronze medal at 13th International silesian championship in Poland in September 2018 . She defeated Marocco's Bel ahbib oumayama at woman's world Boxing championship. She won a bronze medal in Tokyo summer Olympics 2020 held in August 2021 . She represents India for the first time at the AIBA women's Boxing championship , held in New Delhi , where she won the bronze medal in the welterweight (69Kg) category on 23 November Thank you
