When Nitya Chandrashekhar's mother decided to abandon the Banarasi silk sari 10 years ago, Nitya decided to reuse it. "Sally had silver work on the border, so I didn't want to give it up," she said. She upcycled Sally for her brother's wedding, and it was another decade until 2019, when Sally was irreparably torn.
