Even before the results of Lok Sabha elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has got one seat in its account.  Actually, BJP candidate Mukesh Dalal has been elected unopposed from Surat Lok Sabha seat of Gujarat.  According to an official, such equations have been formed after the nomination of the Congress candidate was canceled and all other candidates withdrew their nominations.  Eight candidates withdrew their nominations on the last day of withdrawal of nominations.Earlier, BJP's Gujarat unit president CR Patil said in a post on social media platform 'X' on Monday that Surat has gifted the first lotus to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  I congratulate my candidate Mukesh Dalal on getting elected unopposed from Surat Lok Sabha seat
