Do you know if you are on a fat / weight loss journey, losing weight is always next to impossible if you are drinking alcohol even on weekends. While your body's focus was only on metabolising food through out the week, this focus shifts to metabolising alcohol and that too for 48 hours. It will even harm protein synthesis if you are try to eat a balanced or high protein diet thinking to compensate these cheat days. Even I like to be high 9 and can drink scotch everyday if there were no negative consequences but I don't like being overweight, bloated and puffed and diabetic. so I restrict myself there is nothing wrong with responsible alcohol consumption, it can be great stress relief but it can slow your fat loss down if you are not strategic about it.
