A number of Afghans have been forced to sell their pollen in order to buy food. Recently, a family of five underwent surgery and some of their organs were sold for about $ 1,500. Dozens of women have also sold their pollen in Herat province.
In a village in Herat, near the Iranian border, dozens of women have sold their pollen to feed their children and families. Some of these people are teenagers. Many people in the village sold their pollen to buyers from Iran to pay off their debts.
Afghanistan's economy is on the verge of collapse and according to this media, people have nothing to sell.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres told a Security Council meeting on Wednesday that the situation in Afghanistan was "a bit too much". He called on all countries to allow all transactions necessary for humanitarian activities in Taliban-held Afghanistan.
