A considerable number of Afghan translators and their families will be facilitated at US bases in Qatar and Kuwait while their US visas are being concluded, authorities have said.
Afghan translators are looking for asylum in the US as their work, helping American powers in Afghanistan put them in the terminating line of the Taliban, filling in the capacity as Western powers pull out of the country.
The candidates will remain at US army installations in Qatar and Kuwait, giving the host countries concur, US authorities told Politico.
Starting today, neither one of the nations has affirmed they will have the Afghan nationals, yet authorities say an understanding is "close".
They added that different nations in the Center East and Europe are considered host nations for the translators, albeit no proper understanding has been reached.
