Last night, US President Joe Biden hosted a state dinner at the White House for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
It was a lavish event with a guest list featuring at least six billionaires from across the world, including the richest person in India and Apple CEO Tim Cook.
One of the key figures, and wealthiest person at the dinner was Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, whose $90.8 billion fortune makes him the richest person in India and 13th richest person on Earth, according to Forbes.
Two other billionaires from India also made it to the list of White House Dinner. Mahindra & Mahindra conglomerate chairman Anand Mahindra ($2.2 billion) and brokerage firm founder Nikhil Kamath ($1.1 billion).
Apple CEO, who recently visited India and met Modi, he has a worth of $1.9 billion appearing on the guest list.
Other business titans in the room include Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella-both of whom grew up in India-as well as OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Boeing CEO David Calhoun and several other executives.
The guest list included James Murdoch, the son of Fox Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch, whose family has an estimated net worth of $17.1 billion.
Members of the first family was also in the dinner, including President's son, Hunter Biden.
US Vice-President Kamala Harris, whose mother hails from India also attended the dinner.
Several politicians were invited, like Reps. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) and Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and McCarthy's predecessor Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.)
And Indian-American filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan and tennis star Billie Jean King made the cut.
