On behalf of Natkottam Kshetram, the Bhoomi Pujan of Shri Kashi Natukottai Nagar Kshetram Dharamshala, to be built in Kashi for the devotees of South India, was performed with much fanfare. On Sunday, the foundation stone of Dharamshala was laid in the presence of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Its construction will be completed in one and a half years. Dharamshala will be dedicated to the devotees in October 2025. The ten-storey Dharamshala to be built on the land of Kshetram in front of Nataraj Cinema in Sigra will have 135 rooms.
Kshatram President Lena Narayan said that for the last 210 years, they have been sending worship materials to Lord Vishwanath and Mother Vishalakshi three times a day. Kshatram had purchased this land on 23 November 1894 for just five thousand rupees.
He told that 65 thousand square feet of land was purchased to offer flowers and leaves to Baba Vishwanath. Illegal occupation of land for the last 50 years was removed with the help of the government and administration. Now a 10-storey Dharamshala Sri Kashi Nakottai Nagar Kshetram with 135 rooms will be constructed on it. Along with this, there will also be hostel, residence and banquet hall.
