Columbia University, the hotbed of pro-Palestinian and pro-Hamas protests, has rocked the nation. The country is split on what should be done with these protesters. Should the NYPD go in and arrest them all, or should they be allowed to remain on campus occupying the grounds and even buildings that they've broken into?
I had the chance to speak to many of these protesters, many of whom, strangely, seem to have rationalized Hamas's actions on October 7th. One protester, I asked whether she thought the October 7th attacks were a genocide, to which she replied by saying that it was wrong but what Israel is doing is worse.
Now, the NYPD has stormed the premises to clear out the encampments and arrest the people who refused to leave and who broke into the school's buildings and occupied it. That being as though the protests are in New York, they'll just get out of jail the next day and go right back to protesting. Isn’t that just wonderful?
