Chelsea are reportedly interested in a swap deal with Napoli involving Victor Osimhen and Romelu Lukaku. The Blues have been looking for a new striker, and Osimhen has been their top target. However, Napoli's new contract with Osimhen includes a release clause of over £100 million, making it challenging for Chelsea to sign him.
Despite Paris Saint-Germain also being interested in Osimhen, Chelsea have contacted Napoli to discuss a possible deal. The Premier League giants want to avoid paying the full release clause upfront and are hence considering offering players to Napoli in exchange for Osimhen.
The main player Chelsea are willing to offer in the deal is Lukaku, currently on loan at Roma. The Blues has an agreement with Lukaku to sell him for £37 million this summer and hence they plan to include the Belgian in the deal with Napoli and offer additional cash between £70-80 million.
Lukaku has ample experience of playing in Italy with Inter Milan and now AS Roma. The Belgian has scored 20 goals in 44 appearances for the Serie A side this season. Will he be a fit if he moves to Napoli? Let me know your thoughts...
