Following her extraordinary unbeaten knock of 195 runs off just 139 balls, leading Sri Lanka to a sensational victory over South Africa in their final ODI, Chamari Athapaththu has ascended to the top spot in the ICC's batting rankings for women's ODIs.
Athapaththu's innings not only secured Sri Lanka's victory but also set multiple records in women's cricket, including the highest individual score in a successful ODI chase. Her performance propelled her to achieve her highest-ever rating of 773 points on the ICC table, surpassing Nat Sciver-Brunt, who previously held the top position with 764 points.
