Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Manchester United face another test on Saturday lunch time as they face Manchester City in the first Manchester Derby of the season.
Reports suggest that Edison Cavani will not feature in the derby after picking up an injury. Cavani teamed up with Cristiano Ronaldo in the last league game last weekend, when goals from the two, and a goal from Marcus Rashford led to a 3-0 drubbing of Tottenham Hotspur.
With Cavani out, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can look to his other attacking options such as Anthony Martial to trouble the Citizens. Pep Guardiola will envy United's attacking options, who continue to put up a strikerless team, having unable to replace Kun Aguero in the summer.
Manchester United have beaten Man City thrice in the last 5 meetings between the two in the Premier League, and Martial was influential in two of them. His pace and trickery was instrumental as Ole's Reds proved a handful for Pep's team.
It will be interesting to see how United lineup tomorrow, and whether they take the game to City or end up playing on the counter using pace of the likes of Rashford, Martial, or Jadon Sancho (depending who gets the nod to start in the front).
With Cristiano Ronaldo scoring goals almost every game for Manchester United, his start should not surprise anyone. His omission just might, especially with the form he's in. More so, if Cavani does end up missing the game.
Cristiano Ronaldo chose red over blue in the summer, and this will be his chance to show both the clubs what one got, and the other didn't.
