Arsenal were ruthless and cutthroat today, putting 5 past Wolves and keeping a clean sheet, which came as a surprise to many considering the same eleven players performed woefully the week prior under the same tactics. However, there were certainly no struggles today as Arsenal savaged Wolves, dominating the game and giving the fans a very well deserved end to what was close to being a fantasy season.
Every player looked comfortable and sharp today, displaying a level of confidence that has been missing in weeks leading up to this game. There was no sense of panic, especially in the midfield where Granit Xhaka excelled on what looks to be his final performance for the Gunners. Xhaka is someone who has always had his ups and downs in the red and white, but with chants of ‘Granit Xhaka, we want you to stay’ ringing around the Emirates, he surely knows how loved he is by the Arsenal faithful.
Ramsdale was largely uninvolved this game, with Wolves struggling to get into a position to make the goalkeeper work. Defensively, every player seemed to know his job and the work rate of not only the midfield, but also the attack aided players like Partey and Kiwior who might have been caught out on one v one situations. The front three that seemed to lack any desire last week flourished, particularly Bukayo Saka, who looked electric and caused Hugo Bueno issues every time he ran towards him.

Overall, a dominant display to round off a largely dominant season for the Gunners, but lacklustre results when it mattered cost them the title. Despite not winning the league, Arsenal fans can be excited for upcoming seasons and they are building a side with longevity to compete for years to come. Without injury woes during crucial periods and perhaps more experience with pressure, this side can take Manchester City toe to toe again.
