Clinical performance 👏
Arsenal had won their previous game against West Ham by a remarkable 6 goal margin, so it was expected for the Gunners to continue their fine form against Burnley. However, I’m not sure many would’ve placed their bets on another remarkable score line, this time winning 0-5.

Key players: Martin Ødegaard*
Once again, the captain lit up the pitch on a dull day in Burnley, continuing his great form. He was as expressive and creative as ever, with a goal and an assist capping off a dominant performance, providing 3 key passes (most on the pitch) and an impressive defensive display too. A very well rounded and tidy performance from Ødegaard.
Bukayo Saka:
Another player who has regained form since the winter break, Bukayo was a force to be reckoned with today. He gave Assignon relentless problems on the right hand side, scoring an incredible goal with his ‘weaker’ foot and calmly dispatching a penalty. He was taken off to rest before he could grab a hat-trick, but Saka will be hungry for even more in the coming weeks.
Jakub Kiwior:
Perhaps a surprise inclusion for some, but Kiwior looked (and has been) immense since operating as an orthodox left back. He showed remarkable strength in duels, rarely putting a foot wrong and remaining composed in situations where he could’ve been reckless. He also provided the assist for Havertz’s goal with a quick throw in to cap off an inspired performance. He will be hoping to retain that position even once Zinchenko returns from injury, and many would argue he deserves to.
All in all, a statement performance from
the Gunners once again, who will have to be faultless if they want any chance at the title by the end of the season.
