eloquently emotional lines ..off pull nothing is live..
👍 very true
Argentina's emotional energy & pull of dreams.
When life on the pitch means living by the skin of your teeth, display of emotional energy is a definite marker of your struggle for survival. Each victory just keeps you alive to fight for another day. Live dangerously, accident-prone.
Still, I couldn’t stop thinking why Argentina players showed such an excessive display of expendable emotional energy after they defeated Australia to place themselves in a precarious quarter final match against Netherlands.
Last night De Paul bared his tattoos-harvested torso, Messi sang gleefully as if he had won a shouting duel with an impossible opponent and hasn’t left the podium since then.
Everything is certainly expendable on and off the pitch, emotional energy included.
But Team Argentina is guided by pure dreams, ignited by their collective will and desire to clinch their third World Cup in history for a living legend, Messi.
Destined to win? Or Desire to pull things off?
Well, when destiny is measured against logic it gets didactically defined.
When you are on the pitch, so many variables can conspire against you.
You slip up, or sleepwalk in moments fortified by certainty that you can’t go wrong at all.
You feel insured and secure in the reassuring safety of your unmatched skills aided by coldblooded strategies hatched by best of the footballing minds in the dressing room.
Then football is a spectator sport, too. And like in any other sports, each day is a new day. You start afresh each time.
The best teams are like nice guys, who invariably don’t finish first in carnivals such as a World Cup.
The pull of Argentina's pure faith can move mountains in Doha. When stakes are whatever it takes, outcomes are also shaped by unknowns. No doubt intense desire with a matching sense of purpose matters a lot.
Argentina has it in them in ample amounts. The rest will be decided on the pitch.
