The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has adjusted sanctions imposed on three national players—Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Fazal Haq Farooqi, and Naveen Ul Haq—following a thorough investigation. The modified measures now permit these players to receive central contracts and participate in franchise leagues while ensuring their full commitment to national duties and the ACB’s interests.
The players, expressing a strong desire to represent the country again, underwent an investigation initiated by the ACB. Considering recent developments and the players' commitment, the ACB's committee communicated its final recommendations, modifying the previous sanctions.
The adjusted measures include a final warning, salary deduction, limited issuance of NOCs prioritizing national duty, and potential central contracts with strict monitoring of performance and discipline.
Mirwais Ashraf, ACB Chairman, acknowledged the players' contributions and emphasized the importance of their presence in the team. While expressing hope for the players' continued commitment, he highlighted the need to adhere to regulations, stating, "The ACB and the rules are above all of us, and it’s important to adhere to the regulations because there are no exceptions for anyone in this regard.
