Not many know that Abraham Lincoln, who was the 16th President of the United States, was a wrestler before he gained fame as a statesman. 

As unbelievable it sounds, when coupled with the quiet aura of 'Honest Abe' and his introverted character, it is indeed true. 

Lincoln had reportedly fought in around 300 matches, losing in only one of them. Looking at his track record, it is quite evident that he was adept in his art. 

Lincoln is also enshrined in the Wrestling Hall of fame.
