Sounds crazy
Brain, by Robin Cook. I find it interesting because of the way the main characters, Dr. Philips (neurologist) and William Michaels (computer scientist), collaborate to build the software which could find minor brain abnormalities from X-ray scans by feeding the system with healthy brain scans. Interdisciplinary collaboration and their interesting approach to solve problems was entertaining. The exciting science was contrasted by the kidnapping of women who showed symptoms of brain abnormalities. Philips’ journey of finding the perpetrators who kidnap his girlfriend while facing the challenges of developing a novel technology, was interesting to read.
Highly recommend to read atleast once in your lifetime :)
