Preface continues..
This confused state of affairs, however, cannot steer the nation to new heights and world power status. The nation needs an electrifying idea to secure national integrity and combat the challenge of terrorism. The rising new threat to the nation of terrorism abetted from abroad requires a nation with a virile mindset of national outlook, founded on a correct perception of our identity.
To research, propound, and propagate a new ideological framework that can unite the nation, make the people strive to global greatness and struggle for world power, we do believe that the individual can be and should be motivated by equipping him with fundamental concepts of his individual, social, and an overriding concept of national identity, and empowered by adequate education, to bring about national renaissance. The ideological framework to achieve such a national renaissance, the following parameters are essential.
(a) The identity of India is manifested in the concept of Hindustan which means an ancient nation civilization of Hindus and those of other religions who proudly acknowledge that their ancestors are Hindus. Hence “Hindutva” or Hinduness is the overriding and core concept of Indian identity. Such a state is to be minimalist in regulatory interventions in social and economic matters, maximalist in the maintenance of law and order, in opposing, terrorism, and optimalist in providing the quality of life needs, while being politically accountable to the people in a democracy.
(b) A social ethos based on the concepts of trusteeship of wealth, philanthropy and voluntary group action is encouraged by religious sanction for the better distribution of income and for minimizing economic contradictions and deprivation.
(c) The key goal of the state is to empower the individual through a modern education that blends the essential concepts of spiritual commitment with material pursuits to enable the individual to be self-reliant and yet have strong character.
(d) The individual is persuaded by the state by incentives and not by coercion. The state will hence make no promise to the people without specifying the sacrifices to be made.
