According to accounts, Ecuadorian influencer Landy Parraga Goyburo was shot and killed after her Instagram post revealed her whereabouts to her assailants. Prior to her demise, Goyburo shared a photo of herself eating "octopus ceviche" for lunch at the restaurant where two armed men attacked her.

Surveillance cameras caught the incident, which showed how two gunmen who were not recognised broke into the restaurant where Landy Parraga Goyburo was sitting. The shooters broke in when she was talking to one of her companions. The silence of the restaurant was broken in an instant by gunfire, which sent diners running for shelter and rendered Goyburo and another individual helpless.
