"100 per cent - I have seen that the whole season," Arteta convinced about players' motivation to win PL title
Arsenal continued to pile the pressure on Manchester City, as they secured a 3-2 victory over Spurs in the North London derby. The Gunners went 3-0 up, and it was expected to be a smooth sailing for his side. However, the hosts pulled back two goals which meant it was a nervy ending for Mikel Arteta and Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta is confident that his players are going to give their 100% in the title run in. The Gunners sit one point ahead of Manchester City, who do have a game in hand.
"I think so, when you win it is always the case. Last year we didn’t - we went to West Ham and we needed a result and we missed a penalty, and then against Liverpool we conceded in the 91st minute and we are not capable. The judgement is going to be based on the result - if we concede a goal in the last minute and it’s 3-3… the margins are so small so we don’t get carried away with yourself. Just understand that we have to be better and the margin for improvement, and go again against Bournemouth which is going to be really tough."
"100 per cent - I have seen that the whole season and they have given me reason to believe that every single day. They have the motivation so I am expecting that they will have a real go."
