A 41-yr-old Gujarat cardiologist - who performed 16K surgeries - dies of heart failure

Dr Gaurav Gandhi, a 41-year-old well-known cardiologist in Gujarat's Jamnagar city who performed over over 16,000 surgeries, died after suffering a heart attack at his residence early Tuesday morning.The news of his death has sent shockwaves throughout the community, as Dr Gandhi was renowned in the field of cardiology and highly respected for his expertise.

Gujarat's medical fraternity and the city of Jamnagar mourn the demise of Dr Gandhi which has left the city in a state of shock and grief.Hundreds of mourners joined his last journey to a crematorium in the evening and paid tributes to the doctor known for performing a large number of surgeries.The 41-year-old doctor was associated with the 'Halt Heart Attacks' campaign on Facebook, actively promoting awareness and preventive measures against cardiovascular diseases.

Dr Gandhi made a significant impact on the lives of thousands of patients as he successfully operated on over 16,000 individuals during his illustrious medical career.He was known for his commitment to maintaining a healthy work-life balance and was not only a fitness enthusiast but also had a calm demeanour that instilled confidence in his patients.

"He had performed a large number of heart surgeries," Dr H K Vasavada of the Guru Govindsinh government hospital, where he used to work, said, as quoted by PTI.
