hey man, you write as if Michel Angelo did a nude portrait of David after seeing him!!! come on
In very next paragraph it's explained
There is nothing that makes a man more insecure than the size of his penis.
This despite repeated reassurances by doctors that size matters little to
most women, for the simple reason that the primary organ that gives them pleasure--the clitoris--is located almost externally and can be reached with your tongue.
Yet many men constantly dream of walking with a telephone pole between their legs.
Much like masturbation, there is every reason to believe that this cultural anxiety among men too has roots in recent history that originated with Freudian theories around women’s sexual pleasure. Freud speculated that “real orgasm” in a woman was vaginal. This by extension meant bigger the better. The myth today is faithfully perpetuated by porn.
People who have seen Renaissance artist Michelangelo’s David, created sometime in the 16 th century, would have noticed how small his penis is.
Do you think as a Jewish King, who ruled over a United Israel, a dream that eludes Jews even today, at the young age of 30, David would have been worried about the size of his organ?
Highly unlikely, in fact the Bible describes David as a man with a healthy libido: having eight wives and 18 children. In short, David knew how well to make
use of what he got, instead of worrying whether penis enlargement devices would work or not. (They don’t.)
True, we don’t have any historical records telling us the exact size and dimension of David’s manhood, but as someone who had seen a considerable number and variety of male sex organs in his life time, we can expect Michelangelo to show us the bare reality, which is what he has done through his iconic sculpture. (Michelangelo had a keen interest in anatomy even at a young age and performed public dissections as a teenager.)
