This is a very good initiative: time people discussed sexual health and mental health!
Thank you 🙏
I have a question to ask. It is said love is more to do with intimacy than anything else. Then, why is that lot of couples facing problems when they are spending so much time together at home?
It's great question. Do you want it be answered by any specific doc from the panel?
Any doctor will do. You can answer it in a post? I am sure lot of people have such questions, but very few ask them. So giving public replies will help many, I guess!
Absolutely!
Would love to see your post on Covid causing erectile disfunction..
Sure Vikramsingh
Thanks
Looking forward to learning more! What steps can folks take to make abortions accessible and safe during this time?
Great question Ragi.
👍
Dear friends,
As hospitals across India battle shortages of oxygen, beds and drugs, the extraordinary crisis has led to new sexual health challenges for home isolated couples and individuals—from worries over physical intimacy and unsafe abortions to desire discrepancies and erectile dysfunction, the problems are many.
The crisis has led to a situation where India’s sexual health community is unable to provide the usual face to face care. The disruption is likely to result in as many as 2.3 million unintended pregnancies and over 800,000 unsafe abortions, which incidentally, is the third leading cause of maternal deaths in India.
At VVox, a digital health clinic led by globally renowned sexual health experts from India, US and Singapore, we believe, it’s our responsibility to address this “invisible” crisis.
So to begin with, in the coming days and weeks, you will have a team of
seven specialist doctors--Dr Datteswar Hota, Professor, Urology head & Principal, SCB Medical College & Hospital, Odisha; Dr Lawrence I Sank, Co-director, Cognitive Therapy Centre, US; Dr Narayana Reddy, Sexual medicine specialist, Tamil Nadu:
Dr Peter Lim, Medical director, Uro-andrology, Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore; Dr Rajendra Singh Sinam, Prof & Urology head, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Manipur, Dr Sharmila Majumdar, Sexologist and India head, American Association of Sexuality Educators and Therapists, Telangana and myself Dr Ajit Saxena, Uro-andrologist and Senior consultant Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi--offering you free medical advice and guidance, on sexual and reproductive health, wherever you are, non-judgmentally.
All you have to do is mail your questions to support@getvvox.com
We will answer it within 24 hours. Please mention the name of the doctor in
the subject line if your query is specific.
VVox is here to help and stand with you in the challenging days ahead.
Thank You
Sincerely
