Update on Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid Future!
There has been a significant update regarding the future of Real Madrid's head coach, Carlo Ancelotti. Recent reports suggested he was set to leave when his contract expired in 2024, with rumors linking him to the Brazilian national team.
However, recent speculation hints at a potential contract extension being prepared by Florentino Pérez and the Real Madrid hierarchy. Now Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has cleared the air on these rumours by directly commenting on Ancelotti's current state with Real Madrid.
Talking on Caught Offside, Romano said, "I’m not currently hearing any new information on Ancelotti’s future – no changes for the manager, no concrete developments with Real Madrid or the Brazilian national team."
The journalist added, "Ancelotti will decide his future later, and for now is just focusing on the present, and on helping Real Madrid through the second half of the season. We’ll see when things change, but for now, there has been nothing substantial in either direction."
As of now, it looks likely that Ancelotti will be leaving Real Madrid this summer with Xabi Alonso and Jose Mourinho emerging as the two favourites to replace him at Real Madrid. With the Copa America also being played next June, this would add more incentive to move for the Italian manager.
