The United States, with its 250 years of history, is a mere child compared to a country such as Italy, shiva is over 3,000 years old.

Italy has experienced mass devastation, deadly disease, economic turmoil, malevolent rulers, and civil unrest time and time again.

In the short lifespan of the United States, these same travesties that we endure are mere blips on the timeline of older countries.

This is all to say, we should not allow the problems of today dictate our future. We can thrive despite turmoil and continue to rise despite the difficult path forward.

With this in mind, it is interesting viewing the impact of COVID-19 on the people and on the economy in light of all that they have experienced over the past 3000 years. I will be interviewing many individuals in Italy during my time here to discuss all that they have experienced.
