The US Congress has drafted a commission to look into the war and the ambiguities surrounding the US 20-year presence in Afghanistan.
De Hille quoted members of the US House of Representatives and Senate as saying that the commission is scheduled to review US military, intelligence, development, and diplomatic activities in Afghanistan from 2001 to 2021.
The commission's responsibility is to find answers to questions that determined the political fate of Afghanistan and ultimately led to the withdrawal of US troops from the country; The outcome of the draft establishment of the US Congressional Truth and Reconciliation Commission is the defeat of the United States.
"The commission responds to questions about the main culprits, the absence and invitation of the Taliban to the Bonn Conference in 2001, US interference in the Afghan presidential election, the mistakes of the four US governments involved in the war in Afghanistan," he said. "
The rise of the Taliban and the collapse of the previous government will receive an answer."
"The establishment of these commissions is of no benefit to the Afghan people, and the Afghan people are witnessing at any moment the unfortunate economic, political, and social events," said Ahmad Khan Andar, an international relations expert.
The American publication writes that the number of members of this commission is not known yet, but identifying ambiguous issues about the 20-year presence of the United States in Afghanistan is one of the issues that should be told to the American people and Afghanistan.
"The US Congress feels that there is guilt and negligence in their departure and presence in Afghanistan, so they are trying to investigate US executive officials," political analyst Seyed Baqer Mohseni told media.
