After a long hiatus of seven years, the National Games are returning. Technically, the tournament in table tennis, which took place from September 20 to 24, was what officially kicked off the event.

A few more athletic competitions have already started, but the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host the opening ceremony on September 29 and most of the competitions will start on September 30. On October 12, the Games will come to an end.
