The Indian Sports Ministry's letter dated September 18, 2009, which is an integral part of the National Sports Development Code 2011, has clearly decided that the selection of the national team for international competitions should be done through selection trials, in this letter the entire selection process has also been explained  .

That is, no federation can select the team without selection trial and no player can be made a part of the national team without selection trial.

If later on, the Wrestling Federation of India has sent the team to international competitions without trial, then according to the sports code, it has been done in connivance with the Sports Ministry of India, Sports Authority of India SAI and Wrestling Federation of India to give benefits to their own people.

Now what rules was Brijbhushan making that no one would go without trial?  While this rule has been in place since 2009 and in 2012, the Delhi High Court had declared to strictly implement it on all sports federations.  The sports code has been in force since Brij Bhushan became the president of the Wrestling Federation of India for the first time.

So for 12 years Brijbhushan Singh weas breaking the rules and not making new rules.
