Have you stopped to think how lucky we are to live on a planet with such biodiversity today? We often take the beautiful array of species of animals and plants that populate this earth for granted, but climate change might change our biodiversity landscape forever. For that reason, and for many others, we must take action for our climate. It is as simple as tuning into your local news or political institutions’ websites, see what action your government/local authorities are taking for the climate crisis, and holding them accountable if they aren’t doing enough, taking small actions towards the environment, such as getting your school to place recycling or holding an awareness campaign, and registering them on the 100k deeds (https://100kdeeds.org/) website so you can further raise awareness and inspire people, or even join events to learn and discuss the problem and solutions to climate change with peers and experts. One such event you can join is the Global Week of Action for SDG 15 that MUN Impact will be hosting this upcoming October. To sum it all up, if we want to continue to live in an earth full of beautiful biodiversity, we must act and act now.
