Young girls are forced to fit into the stereotypes of what a woman "should be". The good girl, the not-like-other-girls. These girls grow up hating themselves or women around them—for not being able to be up to those standards or other girls not being able to fo that.
There's a lot of internalised misogyny the society fills into the minds of young women. Which is why it is so important to create safe spaces for them where they can learn to be okay with who they are, a place where they can be empowered and empower other women. A young girl with opinions is patriarchy's biggest fear—feed on it! Ask questions, talk back, be unapologetic about having a voice!
