Tottenham Hotspur are expected to part ways with head coach Antonio Conte during the international break according to reports from the club. The manager flew to Italy after the explosive press conference in which he went on a tirade against his players after they let a 3-1 lead slip against Southampton.

While the club have no confirmed Conte's departure, it is considered inevitable following the contents of the press conference in which he attacked all elements of the football club for 'twenty years of failure'.

Ryan Mason is expected to take temporary charge till the end of the season as he did after Jose Mourinho's exit in 2021.

Daniel Levy, the Spurs chairman, may also try to persuade out of work managers like Thomas Tuchel, Luis Enrique, Mauricio Pochettino to take over immediately. However, none of these candidates are likely to agree to take over in the current condition.

Conte is unlikely to back down from the statements he made to media, which makes his departure inevitable.
