The UK's plan to give COVID-19 vaccine booster to those above 50 years of age, frontline healthcare workers and the vulnerable younger population .
The step makes sense when about 80% of people have received vaccines. This scenario needs to be replicated in other countries as well. In India, a substantial number of people must receive two doses before a booster can be rolled out.
