Depending on your affiliation, choosing the greatest Premier League team in history is a straight struggle between two groups. In addition to winning it in 1999, Manchester United accomplished it as part of a historic Treble by upholding a never-before-seen standard of excellence in the three most important tournaments. Arsenal may legitimately claim that the 2004 season, which saw them go the full season without suffering a loss and play magnificent football that made England envious, is the best on record.
With 102 points at the conclusion of the year, Guardiola's team would surpass Chelsea's 95 points from 2004–05. Their supporters would rank this team as the finest the league has ever seen since they may finish with the most victories and goals in Premier League history. But outside of the Premier League, they have fallen short. Barring a miracle, they lost in the quarterfinals of the Champions League and lose in the FA Cup against League One Wigan.
Although they have had a respectable Premier League campaign, they are still a work in progress, which is very unsettling for their opponents. However, United in 1999 and Arsenal in 2004 were the final results. In any case, winning teams are not distinguished by their point totals. In the Treble season, United's top Premier League team scored "just" 79 points.
With 114 goals scored in the League, City indeed did a great job of establishing a very powerful image and stance in front of all their competitors. Hence, it is only fair for us to revisit their victory of the Premier League title in the season of 2017-2018.
