Resident doctors across India chose to forego their service on Saturday and opted to go on strike.
The doctors have decided to withdraw from outpatient department services (OPD) starting Sunday . Some have chosen to join Monday and others December 1.

Strike from Monday!
A thread explaining why, if we hadn't
taken this extreme step, the
healthcare would collapse in the next few months . LDoctors join as residents in medical
colleges through NEET PG. Ideally NEET
happens in January of each year and
residents join in a couple of months! So,
what happened this year?
Because or COVID and lack of foresight
of administrators, NEET PG 2021 was
significantly.
1.6 Lakh doctors wrote NEET PG 2021
and have been awaiting counselling ever
since! Many of these young doctors are
unemployed and under immense
financial stress! Many have families to
feed and have worked really hard to join
a branch and institute of their choice!
But guess what?
A hasty government policy w.r.t.
reservation in NEET PG was suddenly
implemented which led to absolutely
disastrous scenario for most candidates
including the Top Rankers who could not
even get a seat.
We are united today and 90% of RDAs today are ready to go on Strike from Monday and almost all from December 1! We request GOI to take cognizance of this immediately and sort it out ASAP, failing which the responsibility of the paralysis of our healthcare system will be theirs!
