Lovely story
Rags to Riches -- Courtesy volleyball
The story is about former Indian volleyball captain, Amir Singh, who hails from a very humble background and rose to become one of the country's top sporting stars.
The sport also helped him to uplift the socio-economic status of his family.
Hailing from Haryana's Farmana village in Meham (Rohtak), Amir owns a chain of luxury hotel Mandarin.
Challenging colour blindness and fitness issues, Amir captained Indian volleyball team from 1999 to 2004 and got the Arjuna award in 2002.
