Rafael Nadal beat Norwegian Casper Ruud 6-3 6-3 6-0 to win the French Open for the record 14th time on Sunday, claiming his 22nd Grand Slam title in men's singles.
With only three sets lost at Roland Garros since his debut in 2005, the 36-year-old Spaniard now has two more victories than Swiss Roger Federer and world number one Novak Djokovic of Serbia.
Nadal, the fifth seed, raced through the first set and went on to win 11 games in a row after getting broken early in the second.
