Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, is also the social and cultural capital of central Europe. Its rich history makes it a popular tourist destination, and the city receives more than 4.4 million international visitors annually, as of 2011. Prague is one of the most visited European city after London, Paris, Rome, Barcelona, Istanbul, Dublin, Bucharest and Amsterdam.
