After India's loss to Pakistan in yesterday's match at the T20 World Cup, the people are targeting Indian Cricket Player 'Mohammad Shami'.
The social media is filled with hate and troubling statements against the cricketer after the loss.
AIMIM Chief, Asaduddin Owaisi took on the trolls and stated "The way Mohammad Shami was targeted shows the scale of hatred and radicalization in the country. There were 11 players in the team, and the lone Muslim was targeted. "
Trolling and troll campaigns on social media are a very common phenomena these days. Anytime anything happens people are trolled all over social media, but singlehandedly trolling Shami only because of his religion is absolutely worrisome, and showcase the amount of hate entrenched among people for a particular religion.
Cricket is a team sport and no single player can be blamed or accused for a loss. Shami is a big name in the Indian cricket team, he's an ace player and a champion and his religion plays no role in the sport. He wearing an Indian cap, makes him as much as an Indian and a great player as any other!
