Opinion: Juve Wanted him Sold but Vlahovic is Turning Out to be their Savior!

If you remember, Juventus were keen on signing  Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea in the summer. In exchange, they were looking to part ways with Dusan Vlahovic. Not just the Blues, but PSG were even closer to Vlahovic before the Parisians backed out after the striker's medical reports.

However fast forward to September, and Juventus have risen to the second place in the Serie A table with Vlahovic being their star man. The Serbian has scored 4 goals and provided 1 assist in 4 Serie A games so far showing his worth to the club.

The 2022/23 season was indeed a forgetful one for Vlahovic. The Serbian was amongst the goals but constant injuries meant that he could not show off his full potential to the Bianconneri faithful. However, this season seems to be a redemption story for the 23-year-old.

With Juventus not competing in European competitions this season, Vlahovic should get more time to relax himself and stay fit. Can we see the Serbian international rise to the levels of his number seven predecessor, Cristiano Ronaldo? Let me know your thoughts...
