Keep Ole as ManU manager. From a Liverpool supporter 😂
Liverpool running riots at Old Trafford.
This was one of the many hashtags trending on Twitter after the full-time whistle at Old Trafford and let’s be honest if you are a fan of any Premier League team other than Manchester United, you too would want Manchester United Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to extend his stay with the Red Devils.
The reds from Merseyside were impeccable to say the least but that does not mean United did not contribute to their own downfall. Manchester United were shambolic to say the least, they looked clueless with no set game plan, a combination of their inaccurate passing coupled with Liverpool’s devastating counter-attacks meant United had no answer to Klopp’s Liverpool side who became the first team in Premier League history to score five goals in successive Premier League games without conceding a single goal. The fact that Manchester United had more yellow cards than attempts in the second half sum up United’s performance in a nutshell- ragged and shambolic.
These are worrying times if you are a Manchester United fan and one can only hope that things get better for United from here on out, but with a couple of tricky fixtures coming up with the likes of Manchester City and Atalanta it might seem like a bit of a stretch.
The performance from Liverpool on the other hand was nothing short of five stars, with Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah getting a hattrick to add to his already impressive goal tally for the season taking him to 10 goals for the season which comfortably makes him the PL’s current top scorer. Mo Salah has been unstoppable off late and is rightly being called the best player in the world right now. Goals from Keita and Jota added to United’s woes and left them down in the dumps.
The big takeaway from this game for United however, is whether or not they decide to keep hold of their manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after a number of worrying performances this season, whereas Liverpool have a completely different situation on their hands - Mo Salah’s contract, which they will hope to get sorted sooner rather than later.
