Let's try collegen and ratinol 😉
My mom is barely 70 plus. Still Looks stunning with beautiful spotless skin. Yes she has normal signs of aging for any woman her age. But grace personified.
The other day we got talking about actresses and how ageless Rekha is . Rekha Bollywood actress must be a few years older than my mother but see her in any award show she doesn’t look a day older than 50.
While my mom knew that actors , celebrities go for plastic surgeries to enhance their features, I had to tell her about fillers and Botox and other latest tech used instead of knife.
Confident and comfortable in what she is, hence didn’t bother much.
Last week the same thing happened, this time it was me.
A previously artsy actress, very beautiful indeed, shot a video praising the beauty of Kashmir, in the run up to G20
Kashmir summit-endorsing the move ofcourse calling it pathbreaking and what not. She was praised for not just her words but her beauty as well ( it’s another story she attributed the famous if there is heaven on earth couplet written by famous Persian poet Amir Khusroo to some random Firdaus, confused the word Firdous in the couplet with the poet😂🤪).
However this time I was wondering the woman is exactly my age but looks 20 years younger. Mom can’t be blamed, I understood where she was coming from.
Ladies I understand you are going under the knife but think of lesser mortals like us. Tomorrow people around us might expect us to look a certain way because an Ashwariya Rai does, Madhuri Dixit does or a Julia Roberts ( a goddess always so no comparison), but we can’t .
No matter how much we starve, the diets, the face yoga, the retinols and vitamin C serums, we will look our age. Too thin, too fat, with everything from dark circles to dark sports, the blemishes, the freckles, the folds, the wrinkles and not to forget the grey hair.
So people reign in ur expectations and be happy with what u see on screen. We just don’t care.
