Minerva School close to knockouts with third consecutive win in Subroto Cup

Minerva Public School has strengthened its claim for the knockouts by registering its third consecutive win in the 63rd Subroto Cup International Junior Boys Football Tournament. In the third match, Minerva School defeated Army School Delhi 4-0. Raj scored two goals for the winning team.

The Minerva School team representing CISCE in New Delhi scored the first goal in the fourth minute itself. This goal was scored by Raj and gave the team a 1-0 lead. The players of Army School could not attack and in the 14th minute Chongloi scored a goal to make the score 2-0. The third goal also came quickly. In the 18th minute, Azlaan scored and made the score 3-0. Half time ended with this score.

In the second half also, the players of Minerva School kept trying to score. Army School did face them for a few minutes, but they could not open the account. In the 65th minute, Raj scored the third goal to make the score 4-0. This was the score on the board till the end and Minerva School registered its third win in the Subroto Cup. The team remains at the top position in its group.
