All India Media Premier League: Lucknow lift winner's trophy, Chandigarh finish second
Lucknow journalists' cricket team won the All India Media Premier League held at Guru Gobind Singh Sports College, Lucknow, on Sunday.
The tournament was held in a league format. Both Lucknow and Chandigarh won two matches each at the league stage, but on the bases of better run rate, Lucknow was declared winner, while Chandigarh was placed second.
Securing four points each after two matches, Lucknow's net run rate was over 6. 250, while Chandigarh's net run rate was around 0.748.
Lucknow won its first match against Kanpur by 124 runs, while in their second match against Allahabad, they won by a huge margin of 126 runs.
In the league stage, Chandigarh defeated Allahabad by 6 six wickets, while beat Delhi by 8 wickets.
Lucknow's Mayur was adjudged man of the series. In two matches, he scored 208 runs with a strike rate of 182.46.
