The US Embassy in Kabul has issued a resolution announcing that world diplomatic missions based in Kabul have called for an immediate end to the Taliban war.
A resolution issued by the US Embassy reads: “Diplomatic missions of Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Representatives of the European Union, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, Representative Office NATO, Spain, Sweden, Britain and the United States’s senior civilian leaders in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan have called for an immediate end to Taliban military offensive that thwarts a negotiated political solution and harms and displaces civilians.
We condemn the continuing targeted killings throughout Afghanistan, the destruction of critical infrastructure, and the threats, declarations, and other actions against the achievements of Afghans over the past twenty years, which we have strongly supported. . ”
The other part of the resolution reads: “Taliban attacks, claiming to support a political settlement through negotiations and a peace process in Doha, are in complete contradiction.
This has resulted in the killing of innocent Afghans. These include the continuation of targeted killings, the displacement of civilians, the looting and burning of buildings, the destruction of vital infrastructure, the damage to communications networks, the indiscriminate detention and killing of civilians, and the attack on prisons.
In addition, in Taliban-occupied districts, residents and observers continue to work to suppress the human rights of women and girls and to shut down private and public media outlets to cover up human rights abuses, and “They report restricting freedom of expression.”
