The Center for Granting Citizenship to Non-Muslim Minorities of India has decided to grant citizenship to Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians who previously came to India from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan and are currently living in two districts of Gujarat under the Citizenship Act of 1955. to grant citizenship.
According to the Indian media, in the notification of the Ministry of Interior published on Tuesday, October 31, it is stated that Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis and Christians living in Anand and Mehsana areas of Gujarat are allowed to register under Section 5 of the Citizenship Act 1955. They have Indian citizenship.
According to reports, these people will be granted citizenship based on Section 6 of the Indian Citizenship Act 1955 and also according to the provisions of the Citizenship Act 2009 of this country.
