Gonna try it some day. Thanks for sharing 😁
Hummus is one of my favorite snacks, especially because it goes with so many different things and can be so versatile. So, as I was making my weekly batch I wanted to share the recipe. I originally found a great recipe from Earthy Andy’s Instagram, I will attach her website below as it has a lot of really good snack ideas that are vegan and healthy). I use Earthy Andy’s, but kind of put my own flare on it and add a few things.
Recipe:
15 oz. can of garbanzo beans (drained and rinsed)
1/4 cup of lemon juice (I like more so I use 1-2 lemons)
1/4 cup tahini
1/4 cup olive oil
Chives/green onion (1-4 stalks depending on preference)
4-6 garlic cloves (I live garlic so I always am generous with it)
1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
1 teaspoon of cumin
-I add 1 teaspoon of adobo seasoning
Feel free to customize as you like, that’s what’s so fun about making hummus!
Try hummus with pita, naan, carrots, cucumbers, as a Mayo replacement, and a side to proteins (my favorite is chicken or turkey burgers and vegan meat)!
Also you can jazz up your hummus by adding carrots (and other veggies, although I’ve only ever tried carrots) to the recipe and blending them up with everything else.
Here is a link to Earthy Andy’s website. Her recipes are all vegan, but can still be great ideas for healthy and yummy snacks and recipes even if you aren’t vegan!
