Fort Kochi is a part of water-bound area in the city of Kochi, in the state of Kerala. Fort Kochi is place full of mixed culture, their are a lot of foreign settlers in Fort Kochi. This is due to the history of Portuguese, British, Jewish settlers in Kochi and it's rich cultural value.
My experience for visiting Fort Kochi for the first time was unforgettable. It was during the famous Kochi-Muziris Biennale. It is conducted in every two years. Biennale is the largest international exhibition of contemporary art in India. The concept of Kochi-Muziris Biennale was ideated and executed by Dr. Venu IAS, who was the culture Secretary, Government of Kerala. Their are numerous art galleries, halls, heritage buildings, even disused buildings across Kochi.
While I went for Biennale being an art enthusiast it was a great experience. I saw surrealistic, expressionistic works, by many eminent artists. I went to the fourth edition of Kochi-Muziris Biennale opened on 12 December 2018 and is curated by Indian artist Anita Dube. I am adding certain pictures. Next Biennale has been postponed to November due to Covid issues try to visit it will be a wholesome experience.
