Kozhikode with Salt and Pepper
Goat – head and leg with chicken and eggs, a heavy combination of a chicken filled with masala and stuffed with eggs and is stitched up. Which is inserted into the goat that is wiped in masalas. This dish can be contrasted with the character of Kalidasan. The taste develops his character as a decent person, who doesn’t have an idea to approach any women and the spices can indicate his harsh character which is forced upon him due to his loneliness.
Erachi Puttu (Steamed rice cake with meat masala), Erachi puttu is a layer of steamed rice cake and between each cake a filling of minced meat with spices is added. This dish has the characteristics of Maya. She’s bolder and have the guts to question anyone irrespective of their position. But she’s soft as the steamed cake, she develops more characteristics of feminine when she falls for Kalidasan.
Muttamala, A sweet dish which is made with strings of eggs as the name suggests it is egg chain. Manu, cousin of Kalidasan can be compared as he has a nature of a flirt.
Kilikkoodu, Birds nest, a snack with the filling of meat which is coated with vermicelli. Is like Meenakshi, Maya’s roommate who is more feminine and younger. She falls for Manu by the end of the movie.
