I feel it is a very underrated movie, and should get more praise. A score of 55% on rotten tomatoes, is shockingly low, however, I find it's IMDb rating justifiable, which isn't usually the case.
The background, the music, and everything about the movie feels so calm, it is an easy going movie. It's like eating a warm dinner, not the best dinner, but a very very satisfying one.
Coming to the movie- and I'll try not to give much away- I found the pacing of the movie to be very good. The characters evolve very well, not only the main character Bryce, and Julie Baker, but we see all the characters come into their own, the characters felt very real, and nobody seemed as if they were just drafted into the family for no reason.
The main characters start out as children, and we see their journey into adulthood. There aren't many movies that do their title a justice as this movie does. I find Bryce and Julie to be very relatable, sometimes we see them in our self, and sometimes it seems as if we probably know people like them. There won't be a time in my life when I would watch Flipped, and wouldn't feel good after watching it.
It is one of my favorite easy going movies that I can watch again and again. I would certainly recommend you give this movie a try. I will give it a definite 8 out of 10 in my books.
